Nearly 200,000 people live in York, and each summer thousands more come to the city as tourists from all over the world. We know God loves every person in this city, and Summer Soul is about demonstrating that love in word and action.

Summer Soul in its current form began in 2006 and each year God has grown the mission and its impact. In 2008 the team was made up of 100 students from churches across York and beyond.
